Granola is one of my favorite sweet treats. I can eat it as a snack, a cereal or on some yogurt for a sweet crunch. This homemade granola recipe is my favorite sweet granola. It makes sweet little bunches that make me oh so happy.
You can change up the recipe to add different types of seeds, nuts, spices, fats, sweets and fruits. Try a pumpkin spice granola or a tropical mix with dried pineapple and mangoes. There are so many options.
You can store your granola in an air tight container like a mason jar and it will keep for about two weeks. Use it in cereal with a sliced banana or sprinkle onto some yogurt for a nice crunch. This sweet and salty treat is versatile and delicious.
To start making the recipe you will start with your dry ingredients first. Mix those all together and then add the wet ingredients. That way you get everything mixed up evenly. It is recommended that you back this yummy granola on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. It’s going to be super sticky!
For our version we used craisins as the dried fruit but you can mix and match whatever dried fruits you have. The dried fruits will be added at the end, after the granola has finished baking. Try mixing up your spices to add different flavors to the granola depending on your preferred level of sweet and salty.
