Of all the places we’ve been to in Mexico, Cozumel has always been a favorite of ours. Shopping, dining, and beaches, Cozumel has it all. The amazing island in the Caribbean sits just off the coast of the Mexican mainland. It is a popular port of call for cruise ships. The best excursion you will find in Cozumel is the dune buggy tour around the island.

Driving Around Cozumel
Even though Cozumel received droves of tourists every day, most of the island is untouched. The bulk of the population in Cozumel all live in San Miguel, on the island’s Western shore. Taking a full tour of the island really gives you a chance to see a true Caribbean island the way it was meant to be seen.
Driving the full trip around the island can take up to two hours depending on how much traffic there is. The best part is, you really can’t get lost because there’s only one main road. Take your time driving around the island and enjoy some of the beautiful scenery.
Cozumel, Mexico Beaches
Along the trip around the island, there are a couple of places you can stop and snorkel or enjoy the beach. You will not be dissapointed by the beaches in Cozumel. Think, picture perfect, post-card beaches.
Sea Turtle Hatchings
If you’re into turtles, Cozumel has that too. The Eastern shore of Cozumel is home to baby sea turtle hatchings. Watching sea turtles hatch and make their way to the water is a pretty amazing site and you should definitely check out during your Cozumel tour.
