1. See a cirque du soleil show
Cirque du soleil is not your average circus. They’ve taken over the Las Vegas strip and currently have 7 shows on the strip. If you’ve never seen a cirque show before make sure you see one in Vegas. Our personal favorite is Michael Jackson One but that’s mostly because the awesome music kept us grooving in our seats all night.
2. Win a $1,000,000 or just take a picture with it
Will you hit it big in Las Vegas? Probably not but at Binion’s you can pretend. Get your free picture with $1,000,000 and tell all your friends that you’re a big winner.
3. Get a birds eye view of the city at the top of the stratosphere
We recommend visiting the stratosphere at night. The views and lights of the city are stunning. As a bonus, there’s also an assortment of rides at the top of the stratosphere that are so much more thrilling at night.
4. Party the Night Away
Nightclubs are all over Las Vegas. They’re definitely not family friendly but if you’re on an adult only vacation make sure you pull an all-nighter at one of the many famous nightclubs on the strip. Hakkasan, Marquee, XS, Drai’s, Encore, OMNIA, Wet Republic are some of the most popular and you will find world-famous dj’s on the weekend at most of them.
5. Take a picture at the Las Vegas sign
No trip to Vegas would be complete without a picture in front of the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign. There is pretty much always a line to take a picture in front of the sign, that’s how popular it is.
Every year Las Vegas issues over 100,000 marriage licenses. The marriage license bureau is open from 8 a.m. until midnight every single day, 365 days a year including Holidays. There is a reason why Las Vegas is the marriage capital of the world!
7. Watch the Bellagio Fountains
The Bellagio fountains are pretty iconic in Las Vegas. They’re instantly recognizable and have been featured in many movies and TV shows. Everyone in the family will enjoy this show so make sure you see it at least once while you’re visiting.
8. Visit Hoover Dam
Alright, it’s technically not in Las Vegas but it’s important none the less. Without the Hoover Dam, the Las Vegas we know and love probably wouldn’t exist. The Hoover Dam is an iconic Las Vegas attraction and we highly recommend taking the guided tour.
9. Bet Big
Unless you’re under 21, chances are pretty good that you’re going to gamble a little while visiting Las Vegas. Why not bet big! Bet it all on red, play megabucks, place it on your favorite team there are so many choices for gambling in Las Vegas. The only rule is: go big or go home!
10. Eat, Eat, Eat and then Eat Again
Las Vegas is famous for three things, gambling, drinking and eating. We suggest you over-indulge in the latter and eat at one of the world-famous buffets on the Las Vegas strip. The Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace, The Buffet at Wynn, and Wicked Spoon at The Cosmopolitan are our top choices.
